I am not claiming to be an essayist or an artist of extraordinary calibre. This right here is supposed to be more like a journal where I put in my thoughts so that they are preserved.

Derrida in Love

Why to compare thee to a summer’s day
And cage the intensity of my love?
What poem, what line, what essay will convey
What I feel for you, this moment, right now?

Lovers, men great, since ages have I seen
In love with these prisons; of metaphors,
Of similes, beautiful words serene,
Of allusions, and of similar more.

Cages so beautiful are cages still.
No matter how luxurious they might seem,
In essence their actual job is to kill
The freedom of thought, the ideas supreme.

So, from these glass frames I set you free,
To confine you in words is blasphemy.

A 7 with 9 zeroes

As of march, 2016, the estimated population count of the planet we live in was 7.4 billion. 7 Billion people. That is undoubtedly a very huge number. But what is the true potential of such a large quantity of human race.

“Someone’s or something’s ability to develop, achieve or succeed”

is how Cambridge Advanced Learner’s Dictionary describes the term ‘Potential’. Albert Einstein, Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Edison, Newton, Madam Query, Che Guevara, Christiano Ronaldo, Messi, Sir Don Bradman, Sachin Tendulkar, Roger Federar, Tiger Woods, Wishwanathan Aanand, Dhirubhai Ambani; What are these? These are the names that we remember. But why? Because they excelled in the fields to which they belonged. They took it onto themselves to toil and sweat in order to do what they did in the best possible way. And those who say they got lucky are only keeping their own selves in illusion. Luck = Hardwork + Dedication. Luck is probability. Nothing supernatural. It is pure science. It is a game of increasing your odds. If there are 5 cards of two different colors say blue and red and 2 of them are blue and the other three red then what are the chances that, if all 5 are placed upside down and we are to pick one blindly, it will be a red one? The answer is 3/5. And if there are only 2 reds and 3 blues then the chances of picking a red one is 2/5. And if there is only one red and 4 blues then the chances that a blue card will show up are 4/5. That’s how I see luck. Increase your odds and luck will be on your side. That’s what these gentlemen did. Now another excuse that some losers might give is that they were born with it. No sir, that argument cannot be rationally justified in an eternity. Nobody is born with anything. Saying so is only taking away credit from someone who has really achieved something on his own.
Having said so, now, can we imagine a world where each and every member of the society is the best in everything he or she does? If only we all concentrate on our own selves and give in 100% to what we are doing; teaching, selling, making, distributing, preaching, protecting as a security guard or a gate-keeper, cleaning as a sweeper or a genetor, Driving a bus or a cab, researching in universities keeping in mind the good of the society, writing or acting or directing a film to entertain and/or educate the society, and so on. I hope I am able to communicate my thoughts to the reader. What an incrdible place the world can become. All 7 billion of us excelling in our works with honesty, loyalty, dedication, and a goal to benifit the society. I dont think the Almighty wants anything else from us. illion people. History Always Repeats Itself

“An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”

– Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi

What is happening in India is nothing unexpected or surprising to know given the lessons that the history has taught us. There was a time in our history, not so long ago, when there were lies spread about the jewish community and hatred kindled through newspapers and novels and dramas and movies all throughout the world. All this happened in the years preceding the mass killing of these people (jews) by the so called Christian civilization headed and led by Adolf Hitler himself. In those newspapers and fictional pieces the jews were portrayed as people that were cruel, inhumane, terrorists, and a threat to the peaceful global society and therefore ought to be hated and wiped off the planet in order for peace to prevail. And amazingly enough when the mass killings program was initiated, resulting in hundreds of cold-blooded jewish murders, the whole global society stood as silent spectators to the horror show. And some even saw the whole thing as legitimate and genuine. Now in the 21st century we are witnessing not something very different from what happened to the jews in the 20th century. Again my special thanks go to all the Arnab Goswamies in the world who are hell-bent in their task of defaming a religion and giving its ideology a bad name.

May it be Kashmir or Seriya or Iraq or Palestine, the hate mongers have left no stone unturned in giving a perception to the world of the victim as the oppressor and the oppressor as a victim. All this propoganda has sharply gained momentum especially after the twin tower attacks of 2001. The muslim community is being targetted in the west. There is an ever increasing rate of hate-crimes against muslims all over the world.
